Apple approached me to work with will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas to convert their original comic into an animated book. The book only existed as a flattened, printed piece at the time.

Through intensive and detailed in-house deconstruction on the art along with new illustrations, a one-of-a-kind animated book was created. Sound and audio was cut in-house and integrated into the book, featuring VO from celebrities just as Mary J. Blige, Common, Jayden Smith, Snoop Dogg and more. Animation was all done in-house, and most of it was done by me.

Book #2 is in the works.

Responsibilities:

• Built relationship with BEP from scratch
• Received flattened PDFs which we took into PS and prepped for 2D animation
• Created new art based in the same style to further animation
• Cut down audio/video provided to time animations
• Gave council on how to improve assets for upcoming books to take it much further.
• Met will Will and team for consultation but creativity was almost 100% left up to our publishing team
