Trailer Park + Nickelodeon joined forces to create the very first Multi-Touch book for an award show available on Apple Books. The interactive experience uses a combination of hilarious factoids, exclusive materials, BTS footage and much more to create the perfect companion piece for any fan of music, TV, film, comedy, sports and much more.
The book had several versions that covered both pre-show and post-show updates.
Created using the latest in digital publishing technologies and in-house capabilities culminating in an engaging, interactive and most of all, FUN companion to the show.
Readers had the ability to "vote" directly in the book. Hidden pop-ups reminded readers to tune in to the big show and added another layer of discoverability and fun.
Nickelodeon was extremely impressed with the iBook and considered it a success. It helped in increasing the real overall online voting potential as well as the potential tune-in audience for the Kids' Choice Awards.
The iBook opened up new digital opportunities for Nickelodeon and all of the Kids Choice Nominees. The Info hotspots on every page contained a variety of playable media, increasing artist exposure, and each nominee had pop-up pages that directly linked to iTunes purchasing.
The KCA book garnered prestigious write-ups, includingpeople.com. And best of all, the fans agreed it was slimeworthy! It received a 4.5 overall star rating in the Apple store, making it the choice companion for the show.
