JACKFRUIT
The largest tree-borne fruit in the world, the jackfruit can weigh up to 80 lbs! Tree is tropical but will stand some frost, and temperatures to the high 20's. The fruit is very popular in Southeast Asia and has numerous uses. The fruit is what the original juicy fruit gum was meant to taste like. The unripe fruit is now used as a meat-alternative.

A decorative and edible vining member of the philodendron family. While adapted to tropical environments, it is particularly easy to grow as a houseplant and can grow outside in areas with minimal frost. Does best in shade. Bears close to foot-long fruits that when ripe have an edible pulp that tastes a bit like pineapple and jackfruit.
Monstera deliciosa
Very fast-growing herbacious perennial  can produce fruit from seed in just 9 months. Hardy to 32F or a bit lower, generally likes warm weather for optimal growth.

Large, strangely shaped red fruit with sweet flavored pulp. The fruit has recently become a popular flavoring for beverages and there is much interest in growing the fruit as a commercial crop.
LONGAN
Dimocarpus longana
Very popular lychee relative; a small brown-skinned fruit with translucent white flesh and tasty pulp reminiscent of the lychee and rambutan. The longan is subtropical and will stand brief frosts and temperatures to 28F.
LYCHEE
Very popular fruit with an exotic sweet flavor and white translucent flesh. Skin is red and slightly spiny. Trees will survive some frost, to 28-32F.
